The school break up sees a flurry of activity in Warwickshire this weekend, where there’s so much going on that you’ll be spoilt for choice!
The eagerly anticipated Warwick Folk festival takes place from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th July and will see bands and solo artists including Show of Hands and The Unthanks taking to the streets, pubs, bars and schools of Warwick for what promises to be another fantastic weekend of music. Whilst you’re visiting, don’t forget to pop along to Warwick’s hidden shopping gem Smith Street, which is packed with wonderful and unusual independent shops and is itself having its own Mini Festival in the form of a street party. For lovers of antiques there’s an antique, vintage and collectors fair on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, whilst the wonderful Compton Verney’s ‘Britain in the 50’s’ exhibition continues this weekend right until October 2nd.
