Guestbook

” My brother and I booked Brassknocker Cottage as a surprise getaway for our parents’ ruby wedding anniversary. I can’t sing its praises enough – they were blown away by how pretty the cottage is and how high the quality is throughout. You can really tell that it’s been done with a lot of love and attention and it’s impeccably clean. It was also much appreciated that we could take our dog, and the cottage was dog-friendly without sacrificing any of its quality or cleanliness. It’s brilliantly placed to explore all that Warwickshire has to offer, comfortable, and just a really special place – as a family we all loved our stay in the cottage and we are already having a think about when we can make a return trip!”- AMY ARCHER, DONCASTER

“‘EXCEPTIONAL’ My wife and I stayed for 4 days, and it was not long enough, the cottage is perfect. The cleanliness was impeccable, the best we have experienced, and the decor is beautiful and to a very high standard throughout. We’d like to highlight the attention to detail and genuine thought that is so obviously applied from a welcome gift to spare toiletries if you’re forgotten anything, and we loved the dining room picture with the secret…… the little touches we loved! The location is convenient for access to every possible ‘must visit’s’, and the parking opposite is easy access and safe. We are hoping to visit again in June. Thank you for a wonderful stay. “We had a magical Christmas in your cosy cottage, from the minute we walked in with all the little extras was lovely. You have thought of everything and we loved your CD collection! The stair and landing area is beautiful and such a comfy bed. We visited the local pub which was very friendly and had some lovely walks out. A perfect Christmas! “-GARETH & HELEN, DERBYSHIRE

“The cottage has been the perfect place to stay for our short break. It’s been restored beautifully and was home from home in its amenities. Our main aim was to explore Stratford and see a play, which we have done. We can recommend the Blue Boar and The Bell Inn in Welford for lovely dinners! We shall be recomending this pace to our friends THANK YOU! (review originally left in the cottage Visitor Book)”-GILL & ALAN (+ MAISIE THE WESTIE!) WILMINGTON, KENT

“Lovely little cottage to stay, quiet and quaint. Stayed for a little over a week, the kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. The bedrooms are well appointed and clean. The road is just outside the front door but little traffic noise comes into the home. The owners are very helpful, we requested an extension to our stay and there was no problem. It’s a nice drive to Stratford and other attractions in the area. Do yourself a favour and give it a try. (Review originally posted on Trip Advisor 30/06/17)”-CRAIG & CHELSEA KING, BEECHWORTH, AUSTRALIA

“Thank you Jan for an absolutely fabulous stay! We LOVE your cottage – all the original features + the contemporary new features too. We have enjoyed an amazing weekend in Stratford whilst staying here (Review originally left in the Brassknocker Cottage visitor book)”-TRAVEL LOVING FAMILY (REVIEWED FOR THEIR WEBSITE)

“Cosy cottage for a country break. Lovely two bedroom cottage a short walk from a village pub and close to Stratford on Avon. Welcomed with some fresh roses, a card and a bottle of bubbles on the coffee table. Good facilities including wifi, plenty of parking, a well appointed kitchen, lots of local information and lovely d├ęcor (Review originally posted on Trip Advisor 23/04/17)”-ALISON & SIMON, SOUTHSTOKE, BATH

“Perfect Stay!! – Lovely cottage, very comfortable, nicely decorated, good kitchen with all essentials, very clean. We stayed for four nights in this lovely cosy cottage. Nice welcoming touches – wine, roses, chocolates and even treats for the dogs. Nice walks nearby including one across the fields behind the house which was handy for dog walking. (Review originally left on Trip Advisor 11/04/17)”-MS SOLLEY, HASTINGS

“Stayed in this charming cottage in February 2017. Tasteful renovated to a very high standard and set in the beautiful village of Binton just outside Stratford upon Avon. Ideally placed to explore Warwickshire (although we enjoyed the cottage so much we didn’t want to venture out much!). So much thought has gone into making guests feel welcome and at home. We’ve stayed in lots of cottages but this beats the lot and we’ll be happy to recommend to friends and on Trip Advisor. – Treat yourself, you won’t regret it. “- SUE, BRIAN & DAISY, EASTBOURNE

“Brassknocker Cottage in Binton is simply divine. For those wanting a refuge in the countryside, this is the place for you. Coming back to a real log fire in a cosy 17th century cottage doesn’t get better than this… The place may be compact, but all the finishing and fittings are first class. There is great walking in the local countryside with some stunning valley views, and great food at the local pub, a mere 5 minutes walk away. You can also walk across fields and paths to Stratford itself, and of course the RSC. Our stay was just magical, and the bottle of wine, card and chocolates that greeted our entry the most perfect of touches. I can’t recommend this cottage enough, I just hope to have an excuse to come back this way again soon.”-ROB & ALISON, WARE, HERTFORDSHIRE

“We absolutely LOVED the cottage, it is perfect! It is very well equipped and we would highly recommend it – in fact we’d love to pack it up and take it home with us!! We will definately be in touch to stay again should we ever return to the UK.”- KERRI & RUTH, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

“The cottage is beautiful. It has been decorated to a high standard and had been thoughtfully fitted out with essentials and more. The original range in the sitting room has been lovingly restored and has a lovely fire surround, making the room feel characterful, but modern. The kitchen was well laid out and had everything you could need, with the extra touch of milk, tea bags, coffee, wine and chocolates all left for our arrival. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed staying in the cottage which was easy for travel to Stratford and the Cotswolds. We had our dog with us too and he quickly settled in the cottage, it was reassuring knowing the garden was secure. The Cottage is beautiful and it felt really special being in it when it was new. We wish you great success with it in future. A lovely place to stay which we would recommend to everyone.”-MR & MRS SOMERVILLE, CARLUKE, LANARKSHIRE

“We love this cottage! It’s a great blend of old and new, cosy and homely but not cramped and is in a really great location for getting to all the bits of Warwickshire that we wanted to see. Having a nice country pub (the Blue Boar) on the doorstep was a real hit with us too!”-RICHARD & FIONA, WEST MIDLANDS
