Fishing at Tudor Cottage – Further Information
Tudor Cottage offers course fishing in the River Avon, from the foot of the garden, where there is a large paved landing stage.
The location could not be better for Avon fishing as the boats which navigate the river go through the loch on the far side, bypassing this stretch of water completely, and guaranteeing peaceful fishing for visitors.
It is also where some of the largest fish in the river hang back in the slow moving water above the only stone weir on the Avon, situated right at the end of Tudor Cottage's length of riverbank.
Regular visitors to the cottage return year-on-year for the large Barbel that frequent the river. Last season the largest caught topped the scales at 13 1/2 lb.
Chubb, Perch, Pike and Dace are amongst the other fish that are regularly caught.
