Locations don’t come much better than this as the cottage enjoys captivating views over the adjacent churchyard, yet is just a few steps away from Alcester’s amazing High Street with its fantastic selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants and independently owned shops, including many craft and antique shops.

The cottage sleeps 5 and has two double bedrooms (one of which is open plan leading off the cottage stairs, but with a curtain which can be drawn across to ensure privacy) The other double bedroom is situated at the end of a long landing, so the two are totally separate. There is an additional single bedroom. The cottage’s newly refurbished first floor bathroom has a bath with shower over.

A new kitchen featuring ceramic hob, has everything you will need for your stay, with the added benefit of a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The cottage’s large and light lounge has two 3-seater sofas and a large dining table, all rear windows enjoying lovely private and unrestricted views over the churchyard. To the rear of the cottage is a small patio where you can sit in peace and maybe read a book, relax with a glass of wine or enjoy the birdsong from the trees in the churchyard.

Free Wifi is available at the cottage.

There is plentiful onstreet parking nearby and a number of free car parks a short distance away.

Alcester’s excellent shopping facilities include a Waitrose which is just a few minutes away on foot, with fruit and veg and convenience stores on the nearby High Street.

NB: Whilst pet guests are more than welcome at Milk Churn Cottage, the property has no enclosed garden and dogs are prohibited from entering the adjacent churchyard. There are however many lovely walks nearby, including along the river.

Guestbook

“The cottage was great. In fact, I would say the online listing undersells its size (we had thought it would be more bijou) so I would make more of the sizeable sitting room/diner and the space between the bedrooms upstairs – there is more privacy than one might imagine. All the family had a lovely time and would recommend it to friends and family.”- MR & MRS ROOME, TUNBRIDGE WELLS, KENT

“A beautiful character cottage in a historic village and street. Spacious downstairs with well equipped kitchen and separate dining area. Upstairs is quirky yet still spacious and a spectacular backdrop in yhe back garden is the local old church with bells rung from 8 am till 11pm every day. Supermarkets, fast food, quality locsl produce shops only minutes by foot. We loved it and our 7 year old thought it was just fantastic. Great to chill out and wander or jump in car and visit nearby Warwick Castle etc. We will return. (Review originally left on TripAdvisor 08/08/18)”-MR & MRS BROWN, CUMBRIA

“Just a little weekend jaunt to a lovely place with a massive history!! We felt as if we’d discovered an unknown treasure in the doorstep of some of the most iconic places in England! What a find! If you love discovering history, feeling a part of a beautiful little community. In a peaceful escape! Then this is it! We had spring flowers, sunshine and gentle breezes, enjoying the outside patio for our visit… We’d like to visit in the winter and see the lights of Christmas with the log burner lit… aaahhh so romantic!! Exclusively Warwickshire are a great site to book through. Made life very easy. Highly recommend them and this property! (Review originally left on TripAdvisor, June 2018) “-LINNIE, MAIDSTONE

“Georgeous setting right opposite the church and in Alcester’s prettiest street. You can walk to plenty of great shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants from here. Plentiful parking nearby.”-JUDITH & DANIEL, WEST MIDLANDS
